Responsibilities

The Recruitment Manager is responsible for driving the full cycle recruitment process while furthering innovative recruitment strategies to market the property/company as an employer of choice and drive employee retention. The Recruitment Manager will implement strategies which attract a diverse pool of candidates from both traditional and non-traditional sources. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manages recruitment team and conducts full-cycle recruitment process to actively staff the property
  • Analyzes hiring processes & implements innovative staffing strategies to drive employee retention
  • Creates reports to assess/present recruiting needs and progress toward goals
  • Coordinates and conducts virtual, panel and in-person interview events
  • Networks through social media, job fairs and events to attract diverse candidates & promote company as employer of choice
  • Reviews applications. Schedules appointments.  Pre-screens and interviews applicants to obtain work experience, education and training.  Answers general questions regarding staffing needs and status of applications.  Refers qualified applicants to department heads for review.
  • Proactively discusses personnel needs with Department Heads and Hiring Managers. Performs reference checks and pre-screen interviews, as requested.
  • Contacts applicants to inform of acceptance or rejection for employment, as needed
  • Seeks out new contacts that will supply Hard Rock with a pipeline of qualified applicants
  • Attends recruiting fairs as assigned and assists in all outreach efforts.  Visits known contacts, organizations, schools, etc. in order to establish/re-establish a working relationship which results in the presentation of qualified applicants to Hard Rock
  • Advises mangers and supervisors about the steps in the recruiting life-cycle
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years of high-volume recruitment specialist or above experience at a casino required
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably iCIMS
  • Experience with implementing virtual career fairs and in-person interview events
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Must be organized, charismatic, presentable, dynamic, team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
  • Must have a record of creative hands on recruitment management experience including recruitment from entry level to executive positions
  • Model high standards of honesty and integrity
  • Fluency in a second language preferred
  • Strong behavioral interviewing skills
  • Previous casino property opening experience preferred
  • Must have a sense of urgency and be detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible to interface productively with various departments and manage their staffing needs
  • Must have strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel and Outlook. ICIMS and Infinium knowledge is helpful.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing guests in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to continuously maneuver throughout the Casino areas.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and able to bend, reach and stoop on a limited basis.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Constant exposure to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to crowds, secondhand smoke, and excessive noise. Intermittent time in office consisting of environmental factors typical in an indoor, climate-controlled office environment.
