Responsibilities

This incumbent is primarily responsible for managing the successful preparation and execution of all slot installs, moves and conversions.  Additionally, this position is responsible to order, receive and control all slot machine parts and supplies used in the daily administrative and technical operation of Slot Operations.  They are also expected aspects of superior service to both the internal and external guests. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining correspondence files, assigned projects, and organizational assistance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages all slot technical department activities including: ensuring that all equipment is functioning and properly maintained; ordering and maintaining inventory of all slot equipment, materials and supplies; safeguarding all Company assets; reviewing statistical reports for accuracy and feasibility; reviewing checkout reports; and investigating and reconciling overages and shortages.
  • Manages all slot technical department staffing activities, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Review new technology, equipment, and accessories under development, and evaluate potential benefits of implementing these new ideas.
  • Reviews, recommends and/or revises policies and procedures within the Slot Department that support the organization's initiatives and enables department to operate in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
  • May occasionally act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.
  • Maintains advanced skill levels and immediately develops expertise required by new slot technology.
  • Performs general and preventive maintenance, slot inspection, machine moving and installation, all in accordance with established procedures.
  • Enforces all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Monitors, and makes adjustment to improve, customer service levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, and 3 to 5 years of related experience, 2 years with supervisory responsibilities over technical training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
  • Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience opening new properties/outlets preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
